10 Epic Soapy Massage Experiences In Bangkok

Updated on:

Bangkok’s soapy massage parlours are the stuff of legend – an intoxicating blend of bath time and “good time”, combining an experience that fuses the Soaplands of Japan with the infamous Fishbowls of Macau.

There is no official record of how many soapy massage spas you’ll find in Thailand’s capital, but estimates of ‘over 150’ are probably in the right ballpark. Needless to say, some of these establishments are much more luxurious than others. There’s a big difference between the dingy dens scattered around Sukhumvit’s red light quarters, and the purpose-built spas in Phetchaburi.

This bucket list dives straight into the city’s most infamous soapy spots…

Famous Soapy Massage Venues In BKK

Bangkok soapy massage experiences

1. Black Caviar

Ratchada Soi 7

Phone: 094 251 5868

We’ll start with a club that has earned the dubious rep of “Bangkok’s most expensive massage parlour”. In a city that is literally dripping massage shops, it begs the question… what does Black Caviar offer that separates it from the pack?

The answer is spectacular facilities, Hi-So girls, and the exclusivity of a private members club… which is basically what it is. Rumour has it that a membership alone costs 500,000 Baht if you want to join their circle of fat cat regulars.

Service here tends to be very attentive and unrushed (for what you’re paying, it better be!). The experience starts in a lounge or bar area where you can meet and chat with potential companions – almost like a gents’ club vibe. Once in the room, you’ll get the full soapy treatment plus any extras you arrange. These ladies know what they’re doing, and they’ll make you feel like a VIP from start to finish, often with a true GFE (girlfriend experience) touch.

Reports suggest ฿10k–฿15k (or more) for a session is standard. If you opt for a top-tier model in a premium suite with drinks, the bill can skyrocket beyond that. Essentially, Black Caviar is for the “if you have to ask, you can’t afford it” crowd.

Not for your average Cowboy monger.

2. The Tara

No.1 Soi Phatthanakarn 46

https://tara-bangkok.com
Phone: +663 421 7188

The Tara Bangkok (formerly known as Tarawadee) is less a massage parlour and more a full-on adult resort complex.

Located in the Pattanakarn area (about a 20-minute drive east from central Bangkok, en route to Suvarnabhumi Airport), it’s a bit off the typical tourist track – and that’s intentional. Tara is a destination in itself: a huge property with a spa, restaurant, bar, and lavish massage suites.

This place has been around for over a decade (Tarawadee was established about 12 years ago) and recently rebranded as “The Tara” with a push to become the premier luxury soapy in town. As we’ll see below, it faces some stiff competition.

Bring a fat wallet if you want a body rub here. Service starts at around ฿5,400 for 1.5 hours in a regular deluxe king room. If you want one of their fancy suites, dig a little deeper – a Mini Suite is about ฿4,000 (for 3 hours playtime), on top of the service, and it goes up to ฿20,000 for the Penthouse suite rental.

3. Poseidon

209 Ratchadaphisek Rd, Ratchadaphisek

Phone: +666 2693 8222

The famous Poseidon soapy

Poseidon is impossible to miss – a giant Greek god statue looms over its entrance on Ratchadaphisek Road.

It’s certainly an interesting choice of Greek Gods to lure in the punters… Poseidon was, of course, the creator of storms and floods, and the bringer of earthquakes and destruction.

Inside is (thankfully) a more sedate affair.

You’ll find a decadent “aquarium”: dozens of pretty Thai women sit behind a glass fishbowl waiting for your pick. Expect the classic soapy routine: a slippery bubble bath together, body-to-body slides, and whatever finale you’ve negotiated (usually full service – it’s all upfront).

In the main fishbowl, ladies are typically ฿2,500–฿3,000 (some variation by lineup position). The elite “model” tier ranges roughly ฿5,000 up to 15,000+ Baht depending on the girl’s star power.

Don’t be surprised if you bump into horny Japanese and Chinese tour groups… it’s a very popular spot, one that can get extremely busy if you arrive late to the party.

4. La Belle

1765 New Petchaburi Rd

Phone: +66 2652 8700

If Poseidon is a god, La Belle is the goddess of Bangkok’s soapy parlours. Conveniently located about 200m from Phetchaburi MRT station, this place has a distinct orange glow out front and a reputation for beautiful massage ladies – not just in Bangkok, but some say among the best in all Thailand.

It’s popular with Japanese and Korean punters, but attracts a steady slew of farang, too. Sessions range roughly ฿3,600 to ฿8,000+.

Decent value for what you’re getting… and from most accounts, less pretentious than the ultra Hi-So Black Caviar and Poseidon spas.

5. Maria Entertainment

CS Tower, 234 Ratchadaphisek Rd

https://www.facebook.com/MariaEntertainment/
Phone: +66 2274 1305

Maria Massage

If your fantasy is a soapy massage crossed with a VIP nightclub, Maria Entertainment is a good way to put a dent in your wallet and a spring in your step.

Tucked in the Ratchada/Huai Khwang area (north of the Huai Khwang MRT, down a small driveway), Maria is one of Bangkok’s newer high-end massage complexes. It’s luxurious, flashy, and expensive – and it’s been getting some absolutely rave reviews on the punter boards.

The interior features thematic VIP rooms (one TikTok-famous “King Room” even has over-the-top decor) and a roster of drop-dead gorgeous women who wouldn’t look out of place in an exclusive club – because essentially, that’s what Maria is.

A 90-minute session here is going to set you back 10,000–฿13,000, enough to rival Black Caviar in the bank busting stakes. Being a newer venue, it doesn’t have the nostalgic charm of the old-school soapies… but the types of punters who went to those, are probably going to run a mile from the prices here.

The Chinese love it, which doesn’t surprise us given it looks very much like the fishbowls of Macau.

6. BKK Vice

20/1, 20/2 Sukhumvit Soi 39

https://bkkvice.com/
Phone: +66 2101 0152

BKK Vice

Located a few minutes’ walk from BTS Phrom Phong in Sukhumvit, this place is a modern boutique massage club with a rather excellent marketing twist: it’s styled after 1970s Miami, drawing inspiration from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City… right down to the artwork of the individual girl profiles on their website.

Gimmicky… but we love it.

As the first Sukhumvit soapie on our list, we’ll point out the obvious: these central shops provide much less choice and much less space than the mega-plexes further out in the city. They tend to attract western expats (and tourists), instead of the Old Rich Asian clientele.

Services start around ฿2,000 for a standard session (one hour, one shot). The lineups are smaller and many punters will rely on the published schedule to see when their ‘favourite’ is available.

7. Aya Boutique Massage

126 Soi Sukhumvit 23

https://ayamassagebangkok.com
Phone: +66 2007 0077

Aya erotic massage in Bangkok

If you stroll down Sukhumvit Soi 23, near the Asoke junction, you might just stumble upon Aya Exotic Massage, a hidden oasis that transports you to Marrakesh in the middle of Bangkok.

Aya is a Moroccan-themed nuru and soapy massage parlour with colourful tiles and lanterns to go with the neon booty call. From what we can tell, the look is purely aesthetic. The girls here provide the same soapy massage you’ll get elsewhere, but it’s well-reviewed.

Aya has over 30 girls on its roster. You can expect a much smaller selection when you visit in person.

You’re generally looking at something like ฿2,500–฿4,500 for a session, with occasional happy hour promotions (and deals on Line).

8. Daisy Dream

12/8 Sukhumvit 33

https://www.instagram.com/daisydream.club/
Phone: +66 2550 7472

Daisy Dream body rubs

Another Sukhumvit staple, this time tucked away behind pink oval doors on Soi 33, Daisy Dream’s Nuru & Soapy Massage immerses you in a sort of retro Chinese fantasy.

Indeed, stepping into Daisy Dream is a bit like walking onto the set of an old Shanghai opium den reimagined for the future. Forget about the scenery though, Daisy’s is known for offering one of the most indulgent nuru massages in all of Bangkok.

Many rooms have attached showers (for the clean-up after all that gel) and some have bathtubs as well for the soapy portion. The masseuses here often wear a kind of elegant lingerie or even a cheongsam for the intro. Very on brand. Unfortunately, Daisy doesn’t have the lounge/bar scene like some others; it’s more “get in, get great service, get out.”

Expect to pay around ฿3,000–฿5,000 (one shot).

9. Annie’s Soapy Massage

131, 16 Sukhumvit 7/1 Alley, Lumphini

https://www.anniesbangkok.com
Phone: 02 651 3312

Annie's Massage is back

No list of Bangkok’s best erotic massage venues would be complete without tipping a hat to Annie’s – the famous ol’ grandmama of Bangkok soapies.

First opened in 1972, Annie’s was the place that introduced generations of travellers to the joys of soapy fun. It had a reputation for friendly service, fair prices, and a loyal expat following. Although the original location on Sukhumvit Soi 2 closed in 2014, Annie’s made a comeback and reopened on Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 a few years ago.

The new venue has been updated with fresh rooms and facilities, but it still carries a bit of that vintage allure that made Annie’s a Bangkok institution back in the day.

The new incarnation reportedly has rooms in two different styles and is keeping up the no-rush, no-clock-watching policy that old-timers loved. Expect prices in the range of ฿2,000–฿4,000.

This new Soi 7/1 location is near Nana, which is prime red light city. Almost exclusively farang clientele.

10. Soapy Alley on Sukhumvit Soi 24

Not every great soapy massage in Bangkok happens in a gigantic complex or luxury spa.

Some are found in the humblest of places… like a little alley off Sukhumvit Road.

Sukhumvit Soi 24/1, right by Phrom Phong BTS, is an infamous short lane packed with small massage shops offering everything from oil massages and happy endings to full-on soapy experiences.

And probably full service, too.

The soi is rammo jammo with neon signs, names like Cherry Massage, Candy Massage, Boss Massage, and so on. The ladies sit on stools/benches outside their neon shops, beckoning you inside as you walk by, or as you sit stationary in the shit-awful BKK traffic (it’s a very bust part of the city).

It might not look as glamorous, but don’t underestimate “Soapy Alley” – a rite of passage for many BKK sexpats, delivering soapy thrills at a fraction of the cost of the big boys.

Each shop on this soi is fairly small, maybe 5-10 girls on staff at most, and a handful of rooms upstairs. The setups vary – some rooms have only a shower and a mattress, others might squeeze in a bathtub (usually if you opt for a “soapy” package).

The typical routine here is often an oil massage on a mattress with a soapy slide if they have a vinyl sheet or so. However, a few places actually do have tubs for a proper bubble bath (ask if that’s what you want). A few of these shops will offer double shots, either as a cheap upsell or included with the price. Happy days.

FAQ: Tips for Soapy Massage First-Timers

How exactly does a soapy massage work?

You enter and choose a lady (either from a fishbowl lineup or sitting in the lobby). You pay upfront at the counter. She’ll take you to a private room and likely start filling a bathtub with warm water and soap. You both get undressed, hop in the tub, and she will wash you in all the fun ways – sliding her body against yours, cleaning everywhere thoroughly (yes, there too). This is the famous body-to-body phase. After the bath, you’ll move to the bed, and that’s when things get intimate.

Do I need to book in advance, or can I just walk in?

For most places, walk-ins are perfectly fine. Big parlors like Poseidon or La Belle have plenty of girls available most of the time. However, if you have a specific venue in mind and you’re short on time, it doesn’t hurt to call ahead or check their website/Line app.

How do I choose a girl? What’s the etiquette in the lineup?

If it’s a fishbowl setup, you’ll see a bunch of ladies with number tags, often behind a glass. Take your time to scan and see who catches your eye. A papasan will usually be hovering to give you info – feel free to ask questions like “How much for number X?” Don’t point with your finger (considered very impolite here). When the girl comes to take you by the hand, be friendly – a simple “Hi, nice to meet you” (or sawasdee krub in Thai) and a smile works. They’ll do the rest!

Do I need to tip the girl afterward?

Tipping at a soapy is not strictly required since you pay upfront and the house splits that with the girl. However, it’s always nice to tip if the service was good. A ballpark tip is anywhere from ฿200 to ฿1000. For a standard session, ฿300-฿500 extra will be appreciated. Remember, a good tipper is often remembered – you might get VIP treatment next time.

What if I finish “too fast”? Can we go again?

In many soapies, the general rule is one pop per session (especially at the big parlours). After you finish, the session typically ends even if there’s time left. That said, some of the Sukhumvit shops are known for being more ‘lenient’ with much less obsession on clock-watching and shot counting!
