When I was younger, I spent several years living in Asia. Can you guess where?
Yep, Bangkok, Thailand… one of the true Meccas of Asia’s red light action.
That’s not to say I was a frequent customer of the neon girlie bars and “ball massage” shops that people associate to Thailand. I just happened to live near about seven of them.
Expats are regularly pinged as sex pests, and even though it’s not (always) true, I witnessed more than enough sleaze to justify the reputation.
Years later, I have fond memories of drinking the night away along Soi Cowboy, Patpong and Nana Plaza.
You spend too long near these bars, and you become numb to the sex trade. It’s everywhere you look. Don’t even get me started on a standard weekend away in Pattaya…

From over a decade of experience and a lot of Visa stamp collecting, I can say that the wildest shit happens almost exclusively in Asia. You will find many such stories on this site (although I’ve had to change names and identities!).
Asia Sex Scene is our most ambitious project yet. Mainly because the sex industry is so incredibly diverse across the continent, where do you even start to cover it?
It’s not like you can accurately compare the action in India to China, or Thailand to Taiwan.
Fuck it, though. We’ve tried. 😂
